"With-a-G is back to not having anything written after his username" (with-a-g)

What does it mean when a comment appears in my own history but not on the page for the post? Is that:
1) a Kinja bug,
2) a moderator decision, or
3) commenter error?

They could be dismissed.

It can be any or all of the above. It's (generally) highly unlikely that it's a moderator call - we do not get involved as a general rule unless something well and truly egregious is going on. More than likely it's a Kinja glitch.
There is, however, one other option: If your comment is in reply to another, it is distinctly possible that they dismissed your reply. Everyone has the power to dismiss replies to their own comments.

Ok, that makes sense. There's no indication to that effect, however? What if a comment is dismissed and subsequently "shared" to Oppo fp?

Not sure how that works.

Cool. I've seen that button and wondered what its effect was. Thanks.

The last couple of days I've seen and experienced quite a few comments and replies disappearing, both on Oppo and the FP. I blame Kinja.

I had three in a row disappear today and really, in my most humble and accurate opinion, only one of them could have been objectionable.

Probably a Kinja glitch. I've had this happen to me arelady, then the comment would show up later on, or it would be a duplicate of another comment I made around the same time, or something like that.

I doubt if any of your replies were dismissed. There's definitely a problem.

All righty, well I wanted to share one disappeared post in reply to "For Sweden" to FP Oppo, but not if it was going to irk a mod.

If you think it might irk a mod, I probably wouldn't do it.

Well it's a question for any of the mods, and since I posted it in response to For Sweden's "This shouldn't be necessary" post earlier and it never showed up, I thought maybe Sweden nixed it. I don't think it's intrinsically a bad question.

I went to your profile and read your reply that didn't show up. This is an off topic forum, and NSFW pics have always been here, BUT there must be a NSFW warning. I guess most, not all, guys enjoy those pics. That is basically what any other mod will tell you.

Thanks for following up. As I tried to say, It's not about being off topic or even risque, it's the no-other-purpose porn dumps that I think are out of place, and I think people who post them might do better with a little social pressure to just put them elsewhere.

I really do understand. This issue has been brought up before, but NSFW posts are still acceptable on Oppo.
